Quick Kanda Poha

Kanda Poha is a popular breakfast recipe prepared in Maharashtra. It's easy & quick recipe can be made in a ziffy.
Cooking Instructions

Sieve 2 cups of poha. Rinse poha under running water. Drain water completely. Cover & keep poha aside.
In the meantime let us chop veggies. Chop finely onion, coriander. Chop green chili. - 2
Now heat kadhai. Add 3 table spoon of oil. Once oil is heated fry peanuts. & take them out into a plate. Keep peanuts aside.
Add mustard seed in the remaining oil. Let it crackle. Then add jeera, asafoetida, chopped green chili.Add chopped onions. Stir it for 5 min. Then add turmeric powder. Mix all ingredients well. Stir well. - 3
Check soaked poha. It should be soaked about 10 minutes so that it turns soft. Sprinkle sugar & salt into soaked poha. Mix / toss soaked poha with salt & sugar. Now add this poha into kadhai which has just prepared onion tempering. Combine & mix poha & all ingredients well. Stir well. Cover & cook poha for 5 minutes

After 5 minutes remove lid, poha has cooked properly, there steam appears. Delectable Kanda poha is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander, fried peanuts & grated coconut. Squeeze few drops of lemon juice. Sprinkle little sev, pomegranate etc.
