Cooking Instructions

First, wash the flat rice 2 to 3 times and let it rest covered for 15 minutes.

Then heat oil in a deep kadhai. Pop mustard seeds and cumin seeds in it. Then add curry leaves, hing, onions and fry well till aromatic.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, carrots, peas and turn well. Add 1/4 cup water, cover and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.

When vegetables turn soft, add the poha. Add some more turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, sugar and mix well for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water and cover. Cook till poha is steaming. Then turn off heat. Mix lemon juice.

Serve immediately garnished with chopped coriander leaves, lemon wedge, Sev, and pickle on the sides. Enjoy!!
