Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 250 grampoha
  2. 2 tablespoonoil
  3. 1/2 tablespoonmustard seeds
  4. 1/2 tablespoonturmeric powder
  5. to tasteSalt according
  6. 2onions finely chopped
  7. 1-2green chilies finely chopped
  8. 1/4 cuppeanut
  9. 8-10fresh curry leaves
  10. as neededLemon juice
  11. Handfulfinely chopped fresh coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Take a strainer, add poha, and wash nicely under a running water using both hands finger and move poha upside down. And keep aside.

    Take a kadhai, add oil.Let it heat properly, then add peanuts saute until brown and keep aside

    Now as the kadhai is already hot,add mustard seeds, let it crackle then add curry leaves, green chilies, and onions.

    Saute onions until turns pink

  5. 5

    Then add salt,turmeric powder, poha,sugar,lemon juice and mix well. Also add peanuts and mix.

    Sprinkle one tablespoon water and cover the pan and let it cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

    Now switch off the heat and serve hot.

    IMPORTANT POINTS : 1) Can also add potato or vegetables of your choice (2)Can also garnish with pomegranates, grated dry coconut and sev.(3) while washing poha in a strainer drain the water completely and see that it doesn't becomes soggy.
