This is my favourite dosa as it turns out so tasty each time. Its got 3 yummy recipes and tatses combined inside one..dosa, upma and uttapam! With lots of veggies, southern spices and a yummy coriander and peanut chutney at side, it's just delicious Enjoy!

Ingredients

30 minutes
6 servings
  1. 2 cupsFine semolina/ rava
  2. 2 cupsThick and fresh Curd
  3. 1 cupWater
  4. to taste Salt
  5. 1/2 cupGrated carrots
  6. 1/4 cupGreen peas
  7. 1Chopped onion medium
  8. 2Chopped green chillies
  9. 1/4 cupChopped coriander
  10. 1/2 tspCooking soda (optional)
  11. 2 tspCooking oil for dosa
  12. For tempering
  13. 1 tablespoonCooking oil or ghee
  14. 1 tspMustard seeds
  15. 1 tspUrad dal
  16. 2 tspChana dal
  17. 1 tspChopped cashews
  18. 1/4 tspHing/asafoetdia
  19. 8Curry leaves
  20. 2Broken red chillies
  21. For chutney
  22. 1/4 cupRoasted peanuts
  23. 1/4 cupRoasted gram
  24. 1/2 cupChopped coriander leaves
  25. 1 tspTamarind
  26. to taste Salt
  27. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  28. 2Green chillies chopped
  29. 1 tspGinger
  30. 2Garlic chopped
  31. 1 tspCooking oil
  32. as neededWater

Cooking Instructions

    First, grind all the ingredients for chutney using water, till you get a smooth green paste and keep covered in fridge.

    Then roast rava on low flame till you get a nice aroma. Then cool it in a bowl. Then mix water and curd and make a thick buttermilk. Add this to the rava.. Keep covered.

    Then heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add all the ingredients for seasoning. Stir well. Then add onions and fry well. Add carrots, green peas, salt and mix well. Cook for a minute till they are a little soft. Add a little water if needed.

    Then add coriander and mix well. Remove from flame. Cool for 2 minutes. Then add to the rava and mix well. Add water if needed to make thick batter.

    Add cooking soda at last. Heat a tawa. Brush with oil and wipe well. Then pour laddlefull of batter. Then add another one on top. Pour oil from sides and on top.

    Cover and cook from both sides by turning in between. Cook till they turn golden brown. Remove on a plate. Make all the dosas similarly.

    Serve yummy Rava Set Dosa with prepared coriander and peanut chutney. Enjoy!
