Ingredients

  1. 1 cupoats
  2. 1 cupyellow moong dal
  3. 1/2 cupfinely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  4. 2spicy green chillies
  5. 1" ginger
  6. 1 tspcummin seeds
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tspblack pepper coarse powder
  9. 1/4 tspbaking soda
  10. Oil for roasting
  11. Coconut chutney to serve

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak yellow moong dal for 1 hour.

    Dry roast oats. Cool and grind it in mixer jar to make flour. Keep aside.

    Grind soaked yellow moong dal, chopped corainder leaves, green chillies, ginger with 1/4 cup water in mixer jar to make batter.

    Transfer this spicy grinded moong dal it in mixing bowl. Add oats flour, cummin seeds,salt. Mix well. Add black pepper powder.

    Heat appe griddle. In each cavity pour 1/4 tsp oil. Add & mix baking soda in oats -moong dal batter. Pour 1 tbsp of oats-moong dal batter in each cavity mould. Cover with lid.

    Cook on medium flame till lower side turn crispy golden. Flip over all appe and cook for 3-4 mins till lower side turn crispy golden.

    Serve Relish delicious hot Oats-Moong dal Appe with coconut chutney.
