Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsThick Flatten Rice
  2. 2chopped onions
  3. 1 tablespoonpeanuts
  4. 2Green chillies
  5. 2 tablespoonoil
  6. 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  7. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  8. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoonasafoetida
  10. 4-5curry leaves
  11. 1 teaspoonsugar
  12. Water as per requirement
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. 1 tablespooncoriander

Cooking Instructions

    Sieve the flatten rice well and wash them 3-4 times with water. Cover and rest it.

    Heat up oil and add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves, Coriander, green chillies and saute.

    Then add peanuts and chopped onions to it. Fry it until onions get golden brown colour.

    After that add flatten rice, sugar and salt. Mix well. Cover and steam it for 4-5 minutes. Kanda poha is now ready to serve.
