Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsplit pigeon pea
  2. 1/2 cup chopped bottle gourd
  3. 1/2 cup chopped green pumpkin
  4. 1/2 small bowl tamarind
  5. 2chopped onions
  6. 3tomatoes paste
  7. 1 tbspred chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tbsptbsp turmeric powder
  9. 3 tbspsambhar powder
  10. 1 packetinstant rava idli
  11. 3 tbspoil
  12. 1 Handfulcurry leaves
  13. 1 tspmustard seeds
  14. 4dried whole red chilli
  15. 1 pinchAfestodia
  16. As per tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    In a pressure cooker put oil add onions saute till golden now add ginger garlic paste green chilli paste saute them till loose oil.

    Now add tomates paste saute till tomatoes sperates the oil,now add chopped vegetables and masalas into it and stir them.

    Masalas loose oil, now add approx 1 or 1.5 glass of water and cover the lid.after one whistle gas flame should be low..and cook for 20 to 25 minutes

    Remove the lid now add tamarind paste and sambhar powder and boil for good five minutes, u can add water for desired consistency.

    Now for tadka.,in a tadka pan put some oil,heat the oil,add all the tadka ingredients one by one,and pour on cooked dal cover lid for few minutes.

    Sambhar is ready..serve with rice,idli vada, dosa
