  2. 2 tbspchopped red bell pepper (optional)
  3. 2 tbspchopped capsicum
  4. 1chopped onion
  5. 1-2chopped green chillies
  6. As neededFew curry leaves

  8. 2 tspsugar (optional)

  10. 1/2 lime juice (squeezed)
  11. as neededTurmeric powder
  12. 1 tspmustard seeds
  13. as requiredSome slit cashews (optional)

  15. As neededSome Chopped Coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    First gently wash the pohas and let them soak for about a minute or two. Then fry the slit cashews and peanuts and keep them aside.

    Now in the same pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil. Put some mustard seeds, let them splutter for a while then add few curry leaves, chopped onion, chopped capsicum, chopped bell pepper and chopped green chillies. Fry them for a while on a low flame.

    When its half-fried, add soaked pohas into it. Then add fried cashews and peanuts into it. Now add some salt, sugar, turmeric powder and mix everything well.

    Now cover the pan and cook it on a low flame for about 5 mins. Then add lime juice and finally add some chopped coriander leaves and give it a gentle mix.

    Your kanda poha is now ready. Now before serving sprinkle some fried sev, some chopped onion and some more coriander leaves and a dash of lime juice. Serve it hot and enjoy your breakfast.
