As purple onions are available now I just thought of making Onion Pickle which is very good condiments for any Salad, any baked meat dish or any barbecued food. Any dish of these types tastes awesome with the crunchy, sweet n tangy taste of Pickled Onion!

উপাদানগুলি

7-8persons.
  1. 2Purple or red onion- big size
  2. 1/2 cupApple cider vinegar
  3. 1/2 cupSugar
  4. 1tab spSalt
  5. 4-6 pcsBlack pepper
  6. 1 cloveGarlic
  7. 1/2tspCoriander seeds
  8. 1 cupWater

    At first peel the onion, slice thinly. You can also cube cut them. I have used both method and made two jars of pickle out of four onions.

    Mix water, vinegar, salt and sugar in a pan and put it over a flame. Let it boil for 2 minutes. Meanwhile take a clean jar or a bottle, put the onions slices or cubes in and add garlic clove and the other spices which are optional. Now pour the hot water mixture over the onion till it is submerged. Close the lid and keep it in room temperature for 24 hrs. After a day, keep it in the fridge. After 2 days it will be ready to eat. You can use it year long.

    Enjoy it spreadinng over raw veg salad or along with baked or barbequed food.
